Youth Hunting

The owners and managers of the Patio Ranch strongly believe that the future of hunting and conservation rests in the hands of children. The youth hunting program strives to instill a love of nature and respect for wildlife by having children that would otherwise not have an opportunity to experience the thrill of the outdoors out to the ranch. We have found this program to be extraordinarily fulfilling to both the landowners and the children participating, as it offers a first-hand learning opportunity to understanding why nature is so important, as well as educating them on where their food comes from, and how to harvest it ethically. The Patio partners with the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, the Texas Wildlife Association, the Houston Safari Club, and the Exotic Wildlife Association in order to provide these special hunts to deserving kids in hopes of ensuring the future of our state’s natural resources.
